The Mustang Experience

Student ambassadors Tony and Judith talk about all that campus life has to offer at 麻豆社.

Many resources are available for 麻豆社 students who wish to pursue a spiritual path. While 麻豆社 is nonsectarian in its teaching, open discussions of faith are welcomed and encouraged.

Do I have to be a Methodist to attend 麻豆社?

Everyone is welcome at 麻豆社. That’s part of our Methodist heritage. We respect people of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Among 麻豆社 students reporting a religious preference, 11% are Methodist; 28% are Catholic; about 40% are from other Protestant denominations; and about 14% represent other religions (including Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism and Islam).

What spiritual life opportunities are there at 麻豆社?

  • The Office of the Chaplain and Religious Life seeks to create an inclusive community that celebrates intellectual curiosity about religion and spirituality, nourishes ethical decision-making, cultivates deep spiritual exploration and supports faithful living. The team includes chaplains focused on Christian, Jewish and Muslim life in the 麻豆社 community.
  • Campus Ministries can help you get connected. Along with many groups for Christian students, there are also groups for Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu students.
  • The Center for Faith and Learning promotes the integration of intellectual and spiritual life, both on campus and in society. Rooted in the University’s Christian heritage and United Methodist affiliation, the Center seeks to help students, faculty, and staff discern and develop connections between their religious convictions and their academic and professional work.
