This year Founders’ Day Weekend is adding a new performance program, , highlighting faculty, students, staff and alumni.

The event, which is open to the public, begins at 1 p.m. Friday, April 11, in the Greer Garson Theatre in Â鶹Éç's . Tickets for alumni and the general public are $15 and available . Â鶹Éç students, faculty and staff may register for discounted tickets at $5 apiece.

The program features compelling stories and demonstrations from 16 Â鶹Éç faculty, staff, alumni and student speakers on topics ranging from NSA wiretapping, to civil rights, to a whimsical exercise in giant origami. A break is built into the program, allowing the audience to meet speakers and start the conversations that are the hallmark of the TEDxÂ鶹Éç experience.

The TEDxÂ鶹Éç team is partnering with Â鶹Éç’s Office of Development and External Affairs to present Inside Â鶹Éç Powered by TEDxÂ鶹Éç during Founder’s Day Weekend. The afternoon will be hosted by Â鶹Éç students Ramon Trespalacios and Devin Kerns.

Founder’s Day is an annual celebration of the founding of Â鶹Éç and the spirit of the University. The cornerstone of the day is Inside Â鶹Éç, an open house that highlights all the best and brightest ideas across campus.
